We've seen the petition for an exclusive German Figure, and now it looks like an exclusive figure is headed down under. The team over at Mouse Droid.com is reporting that an exclusive figure--- using the McQuarrie Stormtrooper head is headed to Australia. Read the full story here.
Titanium 2-pks Found March 31, 2007 | 7:40 PM EST | Justin
Yakface reader Pete writes in with the following -
Hey guys,
Didn't even know these existed, but in KBToys today, I found these 'Buy One Get One' free 2 packs of the Titanium vehicles. The best part is that these are actual ships from the very first Titanium wave, with their original packaging. Price: $5.99.
The three I got were: Millennium Falcon & Republic Gunship (red), Slave 1 and AT-RT, and X-Wing Fighter & ARC-170 Starfighter (red). There was also a fourth one which I believe was the TIE Fighter & Anakin Starfighter (green). This is a great way to get some older ships for very cheap. Images attached.
Many thanks, Pete
Thanks for the information Pete! Might be a good time for a run to KBToys...

So Double Sunsets Aren't Just on Tatooine? March 31, 2007 | 8:50 AM EST | Mark B
Space.com has a great article today on how binary stars are not really all that uncommon, and there could be many worlds that have the double sunsets of Tatooine. A very interesting read (and I love how Star Wars is mentioned in mainstream science.)

Also Very Uncool... March 29, 2007 | 11:57 PM EST | Scott
If I may chime in a moment with a gripe similar to Mark B's below. I'm already seeing numerous instances of 30th anniversary figures with the coin compartment pulled open and the coin gone missing.
This is called theft people, or if you prefer, shoplifting. If you've swiped coins (or anything else for that matter), out of a sealed package, you have rendered that product unsellable to the retailer you've stollen it from and have displayed a tremendous lack of moral fiber.
In short, you're a terrible person and you suck.
ROTS Best Buy Poster March 29, 2007 | 9:14 PM EST | Mark
While Code 3 apparently is not making anymore of these posters... the Best Buy (at one time) exclusive poster was $79.99, it is in stock at Best Buy now for the low price of $19.99.
Another Case of UNCOOL March 29, 2007 | 4:09 PM EST | Mark B
So what is with people buying figures, carefully opening them, and then sticking an old figure in and carefully resealing them? How little is your time worth? Anyway, I think this is a totally UNCOOL thing to do, and here's another case of it:
From Jeremy: Just wanted to let you know of another case of a returned figure that had been switched out. My wife went to Target (Sherman, TX) so I asked her to look at the figures. Well, finally they had some of the new 30th anniversary figs. I got her to pick up the Vader, Galactic Marine, and Airborne Trooper. Anyways, who is in the Galactic Marines package? None other than his commander, Bacara. They did a good job on resealing it too. It took me a few minutes to find where they opened it. Just thought I'd bring it to your attention.
Order 66 2-pks Update March 29, 2007 | 3:39 PM EST | Justin
Just a heads up folks, while at a St. Louis area Target today, I spotted the Order 66 2-pks on an endcap by one of the front registers. So if you don't see them in the Star Wars aisle, it might be a good idea to look around the checkout area.

The Toyguide Updates today with the first addition to the Kubrick Section: the first Speeder Bike Set which includes Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa figures, both decked out in their Endor Gear. Initially released in 2004, about the only way to track down one of these limited edition sets is to scour the listings of eBay. If you're lucky enough to find one they can typically be had for prices in the $100-$120 range.

Toyguide Update: Comic Pack #4 Chewbacca & Han Solo March 27, 2007 | 2:08 PM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue today with the addition of the fourth comic pack in the series; Chewbacca & Han Solo. Here we get one of the oddest looking Chewies we've ever received, he looks more like Clyde from Any Which Way But Loose, but I digress. The Han in Stormtrooper Disguise is an amalgram of VOTC, TSC and new parts.
YakTube - "Big Scary Plans For The Future" March 27, 2007 | 10:35 AM EST | Scott
You don't think a fall down a 280 mile reactor shaft can take out the baddest Sith Lord in the galaxy do you?
Of course not, in fact, after the fall of the Empire, 'ol Palpy is still kickin' and looking for a new job as the following video will illustrate for you.
Toyguide Update: Comic Pack #3 Tarkin & Stormtrooper March 27, 2007 | 9:29 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue this morning with the addition of the third comic pack in the series; Governor Tarkin & Stormtrooper. This set includes a St. Patty's Day deco Tarkin which was released in as Tarkin in the ROTS line. The Stormtrooper is an oldie, going way back to the days of the Commtech Stormtrooper.

Toyguide Update: #09 Concept Stormtrooper March 26, 2007 | 1:51 PM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue with the addition of the final figure in the first wave of the TAC line, the Concept Stormtrooper. This figure revisits the 2003 Saga Concept Stormtrooper this time with a far superior paint deco which clearly represents the look that artist Ralph McQuarrie envisioned for George Lucas' universe.
Toyguide Update: #08 Super Battle Droid March 26, 2007 | 11:52 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue this morning with the addition of the Super Battle Droid. Probably the best version to date, the SBD gets reworked for the TAC line and is a huge improvement over previous versions. Gone is the alternate "arm cannon" and the snap on blaster effect and in its place we get treated to a more accurate scale, added articulation and, courtesy of R2-D2, installable flame effects. You'll probably want a few of these bad boys not only for R2 to barbeque, but to use as army builders as well. Hey, the Jedi and Clones need additional droids to battle don't they?
Yakaway Winner # 1 Announcement March 26, 2007 | 11:20 AM EST | Justin
Congratulations to Theo Zissou, the winner of the first Yakaway Contest in our forums. Theo Zissou will receive a free TAC McQuarrie Stormtrooper courtesy of Yakface.
We'd like to thank everyone who submitted an entry for the drawing, and hope to have many more prizes in the future for our members!
Toyguide Update: #07 Airborne Trooper March 26, 2007 | 10:31 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates start off this morning with the addition of the Airborne Trooper. Finally, we receive one of the coolest Clone designs released in the proper, movie accurate coloration. We first saw this figure as part of Mace Windu's Attack Battalion, but this time instead of the smaller (more accurate) rifle from that set, we get the fatter one. Too bad as it would have made him about perfect.

Thank you to all that emailed me.. Your help, helps everyone.
Toyguide Update: #06 Mace Windu March 23, 2007 | 6:00 PM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue with the addition of Mace Windu. Master Windu gets the SA (Super Articulated) treatment (finally) but lacks in a key area. The "skirt" portion of his Jedi garb completely hinders his hip articulation and thus negating his ability to sit properly. I guess his Starfighter is doomed to remain pilot-less and droid-less. : (
Toyguide Update: #05 Obi-Wan Kenobi March 23, 2007 | 2:33 PM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue with the addition of Obi-Wan Kenobi. This version again revisits the popular Pilot Obi-Wan sculpt, but this time he gets a spiffy new "wet" head, MagnaGuard Electrostaff, Grievous Blaster and Aqua Breather. No lightsaber for this Jedi!
Also do yourself a favor and pick up a spare as the Jedi Aqua Breather might be the tiniest accessory Hasbro has offered up, aside from Garindan's Commlink. : P
Wave 3 Preview at Hasbro.com March 23, 2007 | 2:15 PM EST | Jayson
Hasbro.com give details of the upcoming Wave 3 of the 30th Anniversary Collection and a nice shot of Academy Biggs Darklighter with cape.

Toyguide Update: #04 R2-D2 March 23, 2007 | 10:42 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates this morning with the addition of R2-D2. Our favorite astromech saw quite a bit of action in the Star Wars Saga and this figure is modeled after one of the best "scuffles" he's had, showing those Super Battle Droids if you mess with the best you die like the rest.

Toyguide Update: Kubricks March 22, 2007 | 1:42 PM EST | Jayson
Today the Toyguide gets an new addition – Kubricks! The inclusion of these limited edition "bricky" figures from the Far East stems from my ever-growing quest to have them all. And fellow "Crackbrick Collectors" know what a daunting and expensive task to acquire them all can be.
As of now, the Kubrick Section stands in a checklist form, but fear not, images will accompany the listings soon enough. Until then, JediDefender.com has an impressive and extensive Kubrick gallery of their own.
A big thanks to the fine staff at JediDefender for their assistance in the compilation of this checklist. And thanks, I think, to Jeff from JD on getting me started on these buggers in the first place.

It looks like there will be 12 figures per case, but only two Snowtroopers packed per case... anyone else foresee Hans and Leias pegwarming while Snowtroopers are added to collectors' Imperial ranks by the dozen?

THE FORCE AMONG US March 19, 2007 | 9:52 AM EST | Jayson
The Force Among Us is the highly anticipated documentary about the surprising diversity of Star Wars fans. The film was Directed, Produced, and Written by brother and sister Cristian and Cortney Macht and filmed by Frank Yario, Fred Ciba (III), and Rick Thomas. The soundtrack features Brant Bjork, Katie Todd, the Muggs, Drums and Tuba, and Liquid Soul as well as an original film score.
The Force Among Us shows that no matter how diverse fans are from each other, Star Wars is one thing that brings them all together. It is also the first film to look at Star Wars fans from around the globe after all six movies were released.
The film is an emotional journey letting the fans tell their own story. It also explores political, religious, and competitive controversies in the Star Wars community. The film includes rare interviews with Dan Madsen, former Star Wars Fan Club President, Dustin Roberts, the current Star Wars Fan Club President, members of the 501st, a Star Wars costume organization, and Dick Staub, author of Christian Wisdom of the Jedi Masters.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, the Film was intended for both the Star Wars fans and the general public. It is an informative documentary about who Star Wars fans truly are: wonderfully different from the stereotypical fan. It is a story about real people with passion, the ones that have "Built the Empire" and made the Saga become a legendary success: the fans.
The movie will be released on May 25th 2007.
For more information contact: Cris Macht Producer/Writer/Director The Force Among Us www.theforceamongus.com.

And In Other Lucasfilm News.... March 16, 2007 | 10:38 AM EST | Jayson
The Hollywood Reporter is well, reporting that Cate Blanchett has signed on to star in the fourth installment of the "Indiana Jones" adventures. The screenplay is being kept under wraps so it is unclear what character Blanchett will play, though sources indicate it's a major role.
Shooting will begin in June in Los Angeles and at undisclosed locations around the world. The film will get a release on May 22nd 2008.

Toyguide Update: #03 Mustafar Lava Miner March 13, 2007 | 11:20 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continues with the addition of the Mustafar Lava Miner. Going from one extreme to the other, this figure might be the "Mas Amedda" of the TAC line, He's sure to peg warm, but thankfully he's one per case, for now. Question is, is he worthy of getting his own SWAN song? Just think... "Lava Miner, Lav Lava Miner". (Dedicated listeners of the SWAN podcast will get the reference.)
Toygudie Update: #02 Galactic Marine March 13, 2007 | 10:40 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates kickoff today with the addition of the Galactic Marine. Sure not to last on the pegs long, the Galactic Marine is the first new sculpt clone we received in a while, and although it is a welcome one it does have some problem in the stability department. But at least they included the smaller sculpt blaster rifle rather than the "fat" one that comes with the Airborne Trooper as you'll see soon : P

Toyguide Update: Betrayal on Felucia March 12, 2007 | 3:51 PM EST | Jayson

A must have for any clone army builder and/or Order 66 fan, this set includes Commander Bly, three of the 327th Star Corps Clone Troopers (one of them with removable helmet from the Evolutions Set) and the soon to be murdered Jedi, Aayla Secura, which is a repack from the ROTS line.
Slave Leia Character Key - ***SOLD OUT*** March 12, 2007 | 3:10 PM EST | Mark B
These sold out at ACME archives in a matter of minutes, but it looks like StarWarsShop.com was able to secure some of them - and from the looks of what these are doing in the secondary market, they are definitely a good "investment". Get over to StarWarsShop.com now to order before they are gone!
Update - Target DPCI's March 11, 2007 | 9:14 AM EST | rykrofenloe
Looks like the Target DPCI trick is continuing to work for collectors around the country.
Yakface reader Rob in San Diego writes in with the following -
Thanks for posting the Target DCPI codes for the 30th Anniversary figures, it made my weekend shopping especially enjoyable. Scored these from Target in San Diego using the codes (see picture). I'm sure there was more but I just wanted the headstart on them and as you say in your article, they will be EVERYWHERE really soon.
Rob
Yakface reader Linus was able to get some figures early too, as he writes in as well -
Thanks for the Target tip; this evening I was able to score a freshly opened case of new 30th figs. It seems the Concept Stormtrooper is one per case. In any event, I put that one back (as I only collect figures from the movies).
Thanks!
Thanks for letting us know guys, and we're glad you were able to score those figures. For a listing of Target DPCI numbers, click here.
Happy Hunting Yakkers!
UPDATE - Keep in mind that not all Target stores will pull figures from their stockroom. Customer service may refuse to bring out these figures. Readers have emailed in reporting that it's been hit or miss, depending on if the employee or store's policy.
So good luck and remember that if you don't get them early, they will most likely be very easy to find before too long!

Being all shown at once on display will be very cool. And at $10 a piece shipped, they are quite affordable!

Amusement Park news site Screamscape is reporting that Disney is looking at an update for their Star Wars ride, named "Star Tours", once again. There have been a number of rumors since Episode I of an update-- at that time it involved a pod racing theme. Check out the report here.

Two Versions of the Bantha Battle Pack? March 10, 2007 | 8:11 AM EST | Jayson
While getting caught up on the recent SWAN podcast this morning, I nearly sprayed my laptop with hot Starbucks coffee. In SWAN's recent Q&A with Hasbro, they revealed that there will be 2 color variants made available for the Bantha Battle Pack set. No word to the extent of the variation yet.
Thanks Arnie and Marjorie for the great show and you owe me a coffee. : P
"Quick Path" Shopping at CIV March 10, 2007 | 6:56 AM EST | Jayson
StarWars.com has posted that registration is now open for "Quick Path" shopping times which are designed to minimize or eliminate your time in line at the Celebration Store. Among the "50 plus" collectibles that will be available, there will also be a soon-to-be-announced Celebration IV Exclusive Action Figure. (My guess is that it will be an R2-D2.)
Fans and shoppers who have purchased a 4-day, full-show badge can sign up for shopping times now at the Celebration IV registration page.
No announcement has been made as yet, but these R2D2-themed mailboxes will be in post offices throughout the US later this year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars. They are not, however, being placed on the streets in case any enterprising Jawas spot them and steal them for scrap (or put them on eBay). Might we be seeing a whole host of SW-themed products? The boxes have uspsjedimaster.com emblazoned on the front, but there's nothing on the site as yet.
I know a certain Yak Staff member *cough* Mark *cough* that's going to love these!

Target DPCI Numbers March 9, 2007 | 2:25 PM EST | rykrofenloe
Just a heads up Yakkers that many Target stores already have the TAC figures in their stockrooms. Just go to the customer service desk, and ask politely if they have the following DPCI numbers in stock -
087-06-1990 - 2007 Basic Figures
087-06-0886 - Vader w/Coinfolder
If you run across a friendly associate, chances are they will call the stockroom to bring a case to customer service for you.
These figures will most likely be everywhere in a couple weeks, but if you can't wait...
Toyguide Update: #074 R4-M6 (Windu's Astromech Droid) March 9, 2007 | 10:23 AM EST | Jayson
This Toyguide Update not only wraps up the Wal-Mart Exclusives, but the Saga Basic Line as well with the addtion of R4-M6. Making his Star Wars debut in the Animated Clone Wars Series, this astrodroid is assigned to Mace Windu and like all things associated with the Jedi Master it's purple.
Toyguide Update: #073 Labria March 9, 2007 | 9:54 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue the addition of the Wal-Mart Exclusive Labria. This figure was always one of my favorites from the original Cantina Scene in ANH, too bad the figure doesn't do him much justice. Again, we get a repack/repaint from the POTF Cantina Aliens Cinema Scene only with an updated paint job and error (AOTC) base.
Toyguide Update: #072 Nabrun Leids & Kabe March 9, 2007 | 9:35 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue the addition of the Wal-Mart Exclusive duo Nabrun Leids & Kabe. These patrons of Chalmun's Cantina are excellent repaints with Nabrun Leids being from the POTF Cantina Aliens Cinema Scene and Kabe is from the POTF Muftak & Kabe Internet Exclusive.

Now This is Podracing! March 8, 2007 | 5:10 PM EST | Keri
Forgive me for the corny title, but I just couldn't help myself.
George Lucas will be racing in the Annual Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race at the Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 14th. Dubbed "The Battle of the Sexes" Lucas will square off against a field dominated by women in a 10 lap race for charity. Lucas will obviously not be in a podracer, but will instead be in the cockpit of a Toyota aka Scion Tc.
For more information regarding other celebrities that will be in the race as well as the other Grand Prix events taking place the weekend of April 13-15 please click the link to go to the Official Site.
Force Unleashed Delayed? March 8, 2007 | 2:03 PM EST | rykrofenloe
According to this article at Gamespot, this highly anticipated game won't make its November 2007 release date and has been pushed back to the second quarter of 2008.
Sounds like this would mean a change in release dates for the Hasbro figures that were revealed at Toy Fair.
Scott C. To quote Darth Vader, "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
If I don't get this figure soon, I will stick my head in a hydraulic press.
Toyguide Update: #071 Kitik Keed'kak March 8, 2007 | 1:40 PM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue the addition of the Wal-Mart Exclusive Kitik Keed'kak. This female cantina denizen is essentially a stalker. She secretly watches and follows certain patrons from the bar back to the their homes to eat their eggs! This version is a repack of the one included in Mos Eisley Cantina Scene alongside Dr Evazon & Wuher but this time includes a base though be it from Attack of the Clones.
Return of the Figure-Swappers March 8, 2007 | 11:48 AM EST | Jayson
From Yakreader Paul Z in NJ
Thought I’d let you know about something disturbing that I saw the other day. I was in my local Walmart in NJ looking for the Exclusive Wave, when I noticed that there were two Capture Of Tantive IV Battle Packs. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that someone had switched the current version of the two Stormtroopers with the original Power of the Force 2 Stormtroopers from 1995. Someone took the time to purchase the Battle Pack, took it home, swapped the updated Stormtroopers for the old Stormtroopers (minus any weapons), neatly re-taped the box, and returned it to the store. Meanwhile, the store put them back on the shelves and some unsuspecting collector probably bought them or thought they had a major find. It’s just not right!!! People like that not only ruin the item so that collectors can’t buy them, but wind-up screwing the people who don’t know any better and buy the item. I had the common sense to notice it and put it back, but others might not. I know you tell everyone to take the item to management and make them aware of what’s going on. I felt bad that I left it on the shelf and didn’t do anything about it. Next time I’ll know better.
Thanks Paul for your tale of woe, I agree SCUMBAGS who do this need to have their arms pulled out of their sockets by a Wookiee.
Scott C. Just thought I'd chime in too. I've received more than one report of the Elite Corps Clone trooper being found with the Kashyyyk Camo trooper switched out only to be replaced with the WHITE POTJ Scout trooper (See sample pic below). Even though the re-seal job of the bubble to the card may appear seamless (trust me, it can be done), I assure you people, it is NOT some kind of rare variant or factory error. You are being screwed.
Gotta tell ya, the balls on these people are bigger than the Death Star.
Update: Here is a disturbing nugget of truth I received from a Yakreader...
In this case I have to disagree. I think as collectors are fed up with Hasbro milking us. When they release a new box set and it includes one or two new figures, yet three or four crappy rehashes come with it, collectors get pissed.
Also, Target and Toys r Us, has been over charging us on basic figures and hording and selling overpriced exclusives for years now. As consumers, we should stick it to 'em every now and then.
Boy, I hope you are kidding. If not, for your sake, I left your e-mail address and name out of it.
Carrie Fisher's New Gig March 8, 2007 | 10:27 AM EST | Jayson
CNN reports today that Carrie Fisher has joined TCM's "The Essentials" with co-host Robert Osborne. For those not familiar with this program, The Essentials features commercial-free classic movies like; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Bridge Over the River Kwai (with Alec Guiness), the original King Kong and more. Look for her to start this weekend on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET with the airing of Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Toyguide Update: #070 Aurra Sing March 8, 2007 | 9:39 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates start off this morning with the addition of the Wal-Mart Exclusive Aurra Sing. This former Padawan, now bounty hunter and assassin, hunts Jedi for sport and proudly wields the lightsabers of her victims. Sounds like she and General Grievous would have made a great couple. This version is a repaint of the POTJ version, and is based on her appearance from the Star Wars: Bounty Hunter comic book.
Yakfinities - March 2007 March 8, 2007 | 12:48 AM EST | rykrofenloe
After narrowly edging out Force Unleashed styled customs for March voting in Yakfinities by our forum members, for this month's customizing challenge, the winning category is Sandcrawler Droids.
For more information on this month's contest, along with the rules and prizes, click here.
Customizer Spotlight - Fritzkrieg March 8, 2007 | 12:36 AM EST | rykrofenloe
Usually we don't run two spotlights in one week, but seeing Yakface forum member Fritzkrieg already create such great customs from the new TAC figures is a fun thing to see.
Besides who wouldn't want to see Hasbro release this latest set of customs into a Battle Pack someday?
You can check out more of Fritzkrieg's custom figures by clicking here.
Toyguide Update: #069 Yarael Poof March 7, 2007 | 12:59 PM EST | Jayson
This updates wraps up the basic (non-exclusive) figures with the addition of Yarael Poof. This unique looking Jedi was skilled with the lightsaber, but preferred to use Jedi Mind Tricks to defeat and influence his opponents. This figure was first available in the Jedi High Council Set from the saga line and isn't any easier to stand unassisted today as he was then, but it is possible. He includes the glow-in-the-dark lightsaber from the Fan Choice McQuarrie Concept Stormtrooper from 2003 and the improper Return of the Jedi base. View the images after the jump.
Toyguide Update: #068 Combat Engineer Clone Trooper March 7, 2007 | 12:46 PM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates continue with the addition of the Combat Engineer Clone Trooper. These off-screen clones are a part of the Republic's Heavy Artillery Unit and used anywhere ground support is needed. This deco was first used on the limited articulation Clones included in the EIII DVD Set from Wal-Mart. This time we are treated to the Evoution Clone body along with a removable helmet. View the cloney goodness after the jump.
Toyguide Update: #067 Padmé Amidala March 7, 2007 | 11:30 AM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates roll on with the addition of Padmé Amidala The inspiration for this figure is the Arena Battle on Geonosis from Attack of the Clones, But there are a few errors with this figure that make her a bit of a conundrum. First off, she has scratches on her back, referencing her “cat fight” with the Nexu, but the result of that left her a bit more “revealed” by taking half the shirt with it. Also she includes the Battle Droid standard issue blaster which she didn’t have until after the “wardrobe malfunction”. And to top it all off, the includes the Empire Strikes Back base.
Toyguide Update: #066 R4-K5 (Vader's Astromech Droid) March 7, 2007 | 11:06 AM EST | Jayson
The end is nigh! The Toyguide Updates reach the final stretch of the TSC line today with the addition of R4-K5, Darth Vader's Astromech Droid. This astrodroid is a repaint of the superior R4-G9 mold, complete with retractable middle leg. R4-K5 made his literary debut in the EU Novel "Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader" which covers the events preceeding Episode III. With that, the base included with this figure should be the generic/EU "Star Wars" base rather than the "ROTS" base. Anyway, to view the images take the jump.
Obi Wan Kenobi's cloak sells for $104,000 March 7, 2007 | 2:54 AM EST | rykrofenloe
LONDON — The brown hooded cloak worn by Obi-Wan Kenobi in the "Star Wars" films _ and then forgotten for years in a warehouse _ sold for $104,000 to an anonymous telephone bidder Tuesday at an auction of movie and TV memorabilia.
The auction's main attraction was the hooded cloak worn by Alec Guinness as Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi in "Star Wars." It had gone unnoticed in the company's inventory until its provenance was discovered last year.
"How would anyone have known when that film was made that it would attain cult status?" said Tim Angel, chairman of Angels The Costumiers.
TAC hitting Target Stores March 7, 2007 | 1:50 AM EST | rykrofenloe
Don't have a Kmart in your area or coming up empty looking for TAC figures so far? Well Yakface forum member Tenike1has reported finding them today at a Target in California.
Happy hunting Yakkers!

Star Wars Action News - Episode 80 March 6, 2007 | 10:40 AM EST | Scott
This week we bring you almost more Star Wars than you can handle in this week's Star Wars Action News.
First, there has been a lot of talk heating up the message boards this week about two new pieces of Gentle Giant news. First, a final version of the Clone Wars Obi-Wan statue has reportedly been found, and it does not look like the prototype. Gentle Giant has not confirmed or denied this information but Marjorie and Arnie discuss the news. Also, Gentle Giant has begun a raffle for its Premiere Guild members to buy the Black and White Boba Fett maquette. We discuss that as well.
We also have an interview with Aaron Brown of Aumann Auctions. They are having an on-line Star Wars auction this week which they call "The Treasure of the Hutts" where a lot of vintage Star Wars toys and books are for sale. He tells us what makes this auction different from just shopping on eBay.
Then we have a guest review of the Sideshow Jabba the Hutt statue, by Greg the Wookiee from our forums, and a Star Wars book report by Nathan P. Butler. And if you're interested in Star Wars books, Arnie and Marjorie discuss the upcoming Making of Star Wars book. This book is a great deal at Amazon right now in hardcover for $47.25, so use the link to the left and grab them before the prices go up.
Finally we flash back to 1983, reminiscing about the release of Return of the Jedi in theaters and discussing the mysterious soft-goods clad Royal Guard figure.
What are you waiting for? Go download Star Wars Action News HERE or from our home page HERE
Also, this is your last chance to buy the "Bad Leia" and "What Chewbacca 'Bout Willis" shirts from Star Wars Action News. These shirts will be retired on March 18th, so if you want one to wear at Celebration 4, head over to swactionnews.com today!

We've Recovered The Plans March 4, 2007 | 11:37 PM EST | Bill
Toyguide Update: #065 Elite Corps Clone Trooper March 4, 2007 | 7:30 PM EST | Jayson
The Toyguide Updates conclude tonight with the addition of the Elite Corps Clone Trooper. which utilizes the superior, but inaccurate VTSC Biker Scout as a base. Under the direction of Commander Gree, the Elite Trooper gets the camo treatment as well, perfect for sniping those unintelligible Wookiees. Too bad they didn't include the rifle though to get the job done right. View the images after the jump, one final time.
Toyguide Update: #064 Commander Appo March 4, 2007 | 6:20 PM EST | Jayson
This update adds a EU-derived officer in the ranks of the 501st, Commander Appo. Utilizing the superior ROTS Clone Trooper sculpt as a base, this soldier also incorporates a pauldron from the Clone Evolutions Set. A handful of these puppies should be commanding the ranks of your Clone Army... when you can find them. View the the images after the jump.
Live Action SW TV Series "Years Away" March 4, 2007 | 5:29 PM EST | Scott

At least that's what The Beard himself said during a recent presentation at the Museum of Television and Radio on Saturday night.
If it's true, it's all good, maybe my grandkids will enjoy it.

This update adds the Holograhic Obi-Wan Kenobi to the ever growing toyguide.
