Well, if you can't find a shuttle in your town, chances are they sent them all to the Warren, Michigan Target store. That's where I snapped this pic with my trusty 'ol camera phone not minutes ago.
In addition to the aforementioned shuttles, they also had on hand a few of the Original Trilogy 30th Anniversary tin sets (23.99 ea) as well as the new attack vehicles (Hailfire Droid, AAT and Vader's Sith Starfighter)

Arnie and Marjorie acted like Bothans this past Black Friday and returned home with Target exclusive Imperial Shuttles to show for it. This is the exclusive that as recently as two weeks ago Arnie said would not be released in 2006. This week on Star Wars Action News Arnie has to eat his words as he is faced with the reality of the Target shuttle, and Marjorie must cope with owning even more Darth Vader figures.
Also this week, DK Books has recently released Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary. Marjorie and Arnie reviewed this book page by page against the previous Visual Dictionaries to bring you a comprehensive review. So I picked up two Imperial Shuttles on Sunday, but it took a little work. Thanks to your DPCI info, a friend of mine called over and got them to find them in the back room. Just something to note, which the cashier thankfully missed: On the side of Hasbro box that they were shipped in (2 to a box), there is a sticker that says "LIMITED TIME ONLY. Street date: Saturday, November 25th, 2006 6pm" So if your local Target is 'following the rules,' you might have to wait until after Black Friday to see these on the shelf.

I wanted to add something to the Shuttle finding post on yakface.com.Some Target stores (namely the ones in my area)are holding the Shuttle in the back for the 25th-26th Ad. There is a pink label on it that states it should not be put out until the 25th. So, some of you my have Target stores that are loose about letting people get the shuttles early, some are very strict like mine are. Just a little warning to you all.

Just adding my two cents into the Target Shuttle exclusive. Not much to add other then the fact that the Shuttle is pictured in the 11/26 Sunday Ad and it does say limited time only and that it does indeed have a street date. So some people have been lucky finding them early, but technically the likelihood is that these will be out on shelves on Sunday. Also on a side note the 30th anniversary tin sets have finally shown up at Target as well and they are $5 less than TRU being priced at $24.99 and in fact they are currently on ad at Target for $23.74. They had all but A New Hope when I was there. That appears to be the hardest one to get as I have yet to see it anywhere.

Starship Battles, a new and exciting Star Wars Miniatures game featuring 60 iconic vehicles from the Star Wars saga, is preparing to jump to hyperdrive with skirmish-style battles that allow players to pit fleet against fleet in fast-paced, head-to-head action.
Star Wars Miniatures Starship Battles is the newest offering from collectible miniatures leader Wizards of the Coast. The game allows players to build their own fleet to take into battle and features the best vehicles from all eras of the Star Wars universe. For example, a fleet might include Jedi starfighters, Rebel transports, Star Destroyer capital ships or even Han Solo’s prize, the Millennium Falcon!
Each Star Wars Miniatures Starship Battles Starter Set includes all of the components necessary to immediately engage in intergalactic dogfights. The starter game includes two exclusive 100mm-scale miniatures: the Super Star Destroyer Executor™ and the Mon Calamari Star Defender Viscount™. Also included in the starter are eight randomized, fully painted, plastic miniatures, full-color stat cards, two-sided battle map, two Fleet Commander cards, rulebook, damage and command counters, and a d20.

When to what to my bewildered eyes should I discover? But Mike Nelson and the guys from MST3K are (sorta) back in business with a new venture called "Rifftrax. Huzzah! Says I, the comedy gods have heard my plaintive cries!
What is Rifftrax you ask? Well Mike (occasionally joined by MST'ers Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett) lay their classic MST mojo down on some contemporary cinema. Such as X-Men, Point Break, Top Gun, and of course that seminal classic, Road House.

Unfortunately, Stephen has undergone some health issues recently and had a critical surgery scheduled for December. But our friend has undergone some recent setbacks and has had to move his surgery forward to this Friday.

UPDATE Target Shuttle Release Date?
November 7, 2006 | 7:46 PM EST | Scott In our search for an answer to the Vader Sign riddle, we did turn up one valuable piece of info via a real-live Target associate.
Looks like the long-rumored IMPERIAL SHUTTLE whose existance is still being denied by Hasbro to this day, has turned up in the Target comps with a scheduled ad date for the week of 11/26 - 12/2. It's also listed as being available for a "limited time".
REMEMBER, until someone actually sees one of these bad boys on a shelf or Hasbro finally breaks the silence, this is all speculation.
UPDATE We just got the DCPI number for the shuttle. 087-06-0483.

FINAL UPDATE Target Exclusive Vader?...What The?!?!

Conspiracy? Cover-Up? or just plain 'ol screw up?
A couple days ago this sign went up at my local Target store and I thought "collector's edition Vader? Surely our faithful Yak readers will want to know about that!!" So I snapped a pic with my trusty phone with one 'o them new fangled cameras in it.
However, when I took a closer look, the sign had a promo date of 3/15/05. "Crap" I thought, "someone just screwed up" and I thought nothing else about it.
However this morning, a friend of mine spotted the SAME sign at an entirely different Target. So now my coincidence alarm goes off. IS there something on the horizon (and they're just re-cycling the signs from the Lava Vader promo) or did two different Targets make the same mistake?
Any one else spotting these in your area? I'd like to know about it. Email Me if you have info.
UPDATE Ask and ye shall receive. Yak reader Tracy had an experience which heightens our suspicions....
"After reading the info on the site I had to chime in with my info. Today at my local Target, I asked an employee about new figs. We checked the inventory and they had new figs in the back. He went to pull a case and when he came back nothing. He told me all they had was G.Battle and cases of Vader's. I thought the guy was blowing me off until I read Yak today. They have Vader's in the back so maybe something is coming up!!"
Maybe indeed. If ANYONE has some more info as to what this could be, and in a perfect world, perhaps a photo, you'll be one of our best friends like Tracy!
FINAL UPDATE OK, I think we have the mystery solved. Turns out those signs WERE recycled from the '05 Lava Vader promo for use with the '06 TITANIUM LAVA VADER, which about five people in the country seemed to care about. So that about wraps that up. Sorry if we got anyone's hopes up, but it was starting to look good for a while there. Thanks to all who wrote in.

The word "Battalion" is spelled incorrectly on all sides of the packaging except for in the descriptive copy on the back of the box. Battalion should only have one "L", not two.

As the right hand to the boisterous Boss Nass, his primary responsibility is that of "Keeper of Ancient Records", making him privy to secrets of Naboo. Though not the most exciting of action figures, a few of them will fill in nicely for any Naboo or Galactic Senate diorama you might have or wish to create.

Our forum members have done it again, with another great month in the 3rd Yakfinities Customizing Challenge. For October the theme was split into two categories - fan fiction Wookiees, and Halloween customs.
