Good Morning America has posted an exclusive look at the final episode of season 1 of Star Wars Rebels. Who will fall???
UPDATE: YouTube version embedded.
Tonight I swung by Wal-Mart, and questioned why I even waste my time there anymore. But to my surprise, I walked by the pallets and saw a fresh case of Wave 1 Rebels figures. Perhaps this is an isolated chance of dumb luck, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing other similar reports soon – so it may be worth your while to add Wal-Mart back to your occasional toy runs… because this toy run dry spell can’t last forever.
Funko has announced that the POP! Slave Leia will be reissued in special packaging to celebrate The Force Awakens. Watch for additional releases from their vault until the highly anticipated sequel is released.

The next installment in the Darth Vader series from Marvel is now available via your local comic book store. You can also purchase and download the digital version through Marvel’s Digital Comic Shop.
Tonight we take a look at one of the coolest customizing projects ever posted in our forums – The Box Project – by forum member Peakob1. This Clone Wars themed project entails customs of 12 of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. Check it out after the jump!
Personal Note: It’s a shame that Hasbro let the Clone Wars line die with such a whimper, starting in 2012 they had pretty much abandoned the line and their last efforts included completely unnecessary resculpts of characters like Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. This project just goes to show how much potential that line had.
Can’t get enough teaser footage from the season finale? Check out this expanded trailer from “Fire Across The Galaxy”.
The two-part season finale of Star Wars Rebels concludes next Monday, March 2. And as we posted this past weekend, Darth Vader will make his return to deal with the insurgents – personally. Click the image above for a closer look and be sure to check out the teaser for this episode after the jump.
Production work has begun on the next installment in The Enloe Trials Photonovel Series – for the latest updates and full size previews, head on over to the forums!
Hasbro’s take on Chopper from Star Wars Rebels is a fun little droid, but unfortunately it falls short a bit in the articulation department. While it’s a figure that my son loves, I wanted something a little different that fit in better with my collection, so I took some creative liberties and made my own version for display with my stuff. This one took a little more effort than recent customs of the AT-DP Driver and Agent Kallus – check it out and share your thoughts after the jump!
Reports are coming in that Target stores across the United States are starting to receive singles here and there of the second wave of Rebels figures (already in the past week, I’ve seen more of these figures than all of Wave 1 combined since they were first released).
Be on the lookout as there’s a good chance your local Target store is receiving these too – even if it’s just 1-2 figures at a time.
The current Yakfinities Customizing Challenge has just over a month left – so if you like to customize, or have never created a custom but are looking for a reason to, we invite you to participate in Yakfinities #55 – Bounty Hunters.
The variety of entries thus far has been great, but there’s always room for more submissions, and remember, we’re going to have some random winners (regardless of skill level) after this wraps up at the end of March – so head on over to the forums and submit your custom, or just click through to see the cool creations made already.
Today we share another simple way to make a super articulated Rebels figure, Agent Kallus!
Head on over to the forums for a closer look – while it’s not screen accurate, it’s a pretty easy way to make your Agent Kallus fit into your realistic collection a little better.
After a somewhat disappointing Toy Fair (from a certain point of view), Flyguy and Yakface are back this week to discuss the latest in collecting news. Topics covered this week include Hasbro’s showing at Toy Fair, Hot Toys’ impressive Obi-Wan Kenobi and Funko’s deluge of Hikari figures reveals. We also touch on the official reveal of the UCS TIE Fighter and expanded encyclopedia from LEGO, new customized projects and announcements from Marvel. We wrap things up with our latest review and toy acquisitions – all this and more on Episode 52 of The Realm Recap!
Also, if you prefer an audio-only version, a downloadable MP3 is available as well.
DorksideToys is now taking preorders for wave 8 from the 6″ Black Series. This assortment includes Emperor Palatine, Han Solo (Stormtrooper Disguise), Clone Trooper Captain and Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper Disguise)
A lot of our readers find the Rebels figure line intriguing (when they can actually find them in stores), but frustrating because so many of us would like for the figures to have more articulation, or even have more of a hybrid/realistic appearance.
There’s a few figures I’ve toyed around with a bit that I’ll be sharing that are pretty easy modifications (little customizing experience necessary) that I’ll be sharing pics of… first off, the AT-DP driver. Check it out in the forums and let me know what you think (I know it’s not 100% screen accurate, btw).
Tonight we give thanks to a few of the many customizers who grace our forums by showcasing some of their work in our latest customizer spotlight.
First up, forumite Grimace shares a ton of custom mini-rigs he has completed, along with an impressive gallery of customs he’s purchased from other collectors as well. Check them out here.
Our next highlight is courtesy of forum member JawaKing, who shows off a very cool one-footed “choco-droid” and also some other very interesting droid designs in his thread.
Monsterhjerne also joins in the fun, with a group of Biker Scout custom that he’s upgraded – you’ll want to check out his repainted speeder bikes as well.
Last but certainly not least, Darth Daddy (active as usual with great new customs) has created an upgraded Chopper droid from Rebels that is hopefully on Hasbro’s radar for an upgrade.
As always, the customizers appreciate feedback from their fellow collectors, so please feel free to share your thoughts in the forums or here in our comments section.
Peter Mayhew by way of his Facebook page, has given collectors carded look at the upcoming 3.75″ Black Series Chewbacca (TBS #11). Click the image above for a closer look.

Toy Fair didn’t provide much of anything worthwhile from Hasbro this year on the Star Wars front, but we ‘d be remiss to not mention a couple of Q&A sessions that Hasbro held with our friends at Imperialshipyards and Jeditemplearchives during the event.
Check them out by clicking on their respective links and see what Hasbro had to say!
UPDATE – We’re happy to share the Q&A session that our friends at Sirstevesguide was able to partake in as well – including a very interesting comment by the Hasbro team that we hope is an encouraging sign…
