Droid Factory Sets

Hasbro has updated with info regarding the Droid Factory Sets set to be released exclusively at Wal-Mart in just a couple months. These sets include a figure, a droid and an additional droid part to build a C-3PX droid that is available when all six 2 packs are collected.

Our friends over at Rebelscum have posted the 411 on an as yet unannounced/unofficial, Legacy wave focused on Revenge of the Sith which has some very nice entries. New Carded Clone Wars Figure Images

New images have popped up over at the Sandtroopers forum of a few of the new Animated Clone Wars figure line. Forum member Gorkoracing has posted carded shots of General Grievous (with interchangeable arms), Captain Rex (non-mailaway version), R2-D2 (with hidden gadgets) and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The backer card also helps to clarify what we can expect from the upcoming Clone Wars movie and animated series, so spoiler avoiders be aware. March on over for a look see.

Today, I received some very sad news. To those of you whom have followed Yakface.com for the many years that it has been online, you will recall, the Vintageman. He sold vintage figrues here on Yakface in the early years. His reputation was very solid. Today, I received news that Richard Heimlich has been hospitalized with Liver Failure due to cancer. Richard was one of the main reasons I started working on a Star Wars website, which became this site you visit. Please take a moment and give a prayer for Richard whom is in need of a miracle.......

Captain Rex Preview Figure Delayed Until Late July

Reports are coming in that fans are receiving a notice from Hasbro that the Clone Wars Preview figure of Captain Rex has been delayed due to what Hasbro claims is a production delay.
So, it doesn't appear that this figure will be a "preview" at all, as it's not slated to start shipping until the last week of July, which is when the new Clone Wars line will be available in stores.

The first full length trailer for Indiana Jones IV is now in theaters. I went to see Iron Man today and they have the full length trailer running before the movie. Go see Iron Man and check it out. BTW Iron Man rocked!

Angus MacInnis played rebel pilot, Dutch Vander aka Gold Leader in "A New Hope." MacInnis has had a lengthy acting career, appearing in films including Hellboy, The Jacket, The Black Dahlia as well as with several Star Wars cast mates in Superman II. MacInnis will be signing fans' personal items and official photographs.
Oliver Ford Davies played Governor Sio Bibble in all 3 Prequel movies. Aside from Star Wars, Davies has had a long career on stage, appearing on various BBC productions. He won the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 1990 and was nominated again in 2004. He will be signing fans' personal items and official photographs!

Clone Wars General Grievous Prototype

Our good friends at The Jawa have gotten their hands on a Clone Wars General Grievous prototype, revealing quite a bit more details about the upcoming animated version of the general of the droid army.
The production figure of General Grievous is slated to be released on July 26, but you can get a better idea of the features of this figure after the jump!
